Well, even though it was gray & rainy outside, it was high-energy here inside w the hi-octane honky-tonk tunes from Sean Kershaw (Sean Kershaw & The New Jack Ramblers.) I ran into Sean a few weeks ago while on-set filming a music video for a mutual friend of ours. I knew once we started talking we had to have him on….and here he was! He played selections off his first-album (“Coney Island Cowboy”) and some songs of his up-coming album, “The Aussie Sessions” (recorded in…you guessed it, Australia!) We talked about chickens and music and all other things in between. He’s a great songwriter & showman…definitely check him out. They playing a bunch of shows all over NYC the next few weeks!
We also featured, for the first time, a play, “Lunch or Siesta!” It was written by our good friend & frequent guest, Quin Chia. Performed by Chris Reynolds & Alix Rosenfeld and directed by Reesa Graham (http://manhattanshakes.org/) it explored life & the random run-ins we can have…whilst standing on a street corner.
Hopefully, we will feature more short plays in the future.
